- Source
Again: Yesterday in the village of Manizal, the private militia of Yedidia Talia prevents Palestinians from using their lands.
A villager is herding his flock on the village lands. Soldiers arrive and tell him that he is obligated to keep his distance from the military base. A check on the map shows that he is not in a prohibited place, and the soldiers let him go. The story could have ended here.
But then settler Yedidia Talia arrives - on an ATV. Yedidia lives in the illegal outpost "Havat Talia", and is the brother of Bezalel Talia. Their violent actions against Palestinians have been described more than once on the page.
Yedidia, as usual, drives the herd away with the ATV and approaches the military force to convince them. The soldiers return to the shepherd, shout at him in Hebrew (a language he doesn't speak), handcuff him, push him into a jeep, and delay him at the base for six hours.
This is a practice we see endlessly in the area - a settler points out a Palestinian or solidarity activist to a soldier, and the soldiers immediately carry out the settler's order, tie up the person they asked to tie up, and kidnap him for a few hours. The reason for the delay: Talia's friends requested it.
