2. Destroy all food sources including warehouses, water and water pumps.

One of the signatories is Ariel Kallner, a Likud member and head of the Knesset delegation for relations with the European Parliament, a frequent visitor to Brussels. In October 2023, he stated: “We now have only one goal: the Nakba! A Nakba that will eclipse that of 1948.”

This corridor stretches from eastern Jabalia to the Mediterranean Sea coast near Beit Lahia. Since Oct. 5, the Israeli army has been conducting daily operations to demolish homes and clear the area for expanded control. "We appeal to you, as members of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, so that you re-examine the operational plan of the fighting in the Gaza Strip, in view of its dire results so far and the expected continuation. We will specify as follows:

The operational action in the Gaza Strip, as presented to us in the Foreign and Security Committee by the previous Minister of Defense even before the ground operation began on 27.10.23, and as it has been carried out since then in the field, does not allow the goals of the war as defined by the political echelon. The decline of governmental and military capabilities of Hamas has not been realized to this day, even though it is a small area and against an enemy that does not possess the tools and capabilities of a modern army.

As stated by the Hermatchail in public, Tsha'al operates with a method of targeted raids, a method that lacks the central component in this type of guerrilla warfare: control. Effective control of the territory and the population is the only basis for cleansing the enemy's nests from the Strip and, of course, for a decision and victory, not for a shuffling and a war of attrition in which the main exhausted party is Israel. That is why we repeatedly put our soldiers into neighborhoods and alleys that have already been conquered by them many times. Places that the heads of the IDF declared as cleared of the enemy, where the Hamas battalions were disbanded and destroyed. And in those places, we pay a terrible and unbearable blood price.

From October 6, 2024, an operation in a different direction began in the north of the Gaza Strip, south of the Mefalsim axis, which included encirclement and evacuation of the population to the south. We all hoped that this was the beginning of military actions that would bring about the necessary change, but it seems that this action is not being done properly; that is, after the cordon and the humanitarian evacuation, the IDF does not respond, as is customary in international law.

The Western armies view those who remain as enemies, once again endangering the lives of our soldiers by entering the built and tangled area.

After the encirclement and evacuation of the population, the instructions to the IDF should be clear: (1) Remote destruction of all energy sources, i.e., fuel, solar installations, and any relevant means (pipes, cables, generators, etc.). (2) Destruction of all sources of food, including warehouses, water, and any relevant means (water pumps, etc.). (3) Remote elimination of anyone who moves in the area and does not come out with a white flag during the days of the effective siege. After these actions and the days of the siege on those who remain, a soldier should gradually enter into a complete purification of the enemy's nests.

This must be done in the north of the Gaza Strip and in the same way in every area cell after encirclement, evacuation of the population to a humanitarian area, and remote assurance of the elimination of the enemy. This is how every army behaves and how the Defense Forces should behave as well.

Despite repeated questions and requests in the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, we have not received satisfactory answers from Tsha'al representatives in the committee to date. Why do they not act as required and define the decision of Hamas as operational and to the fighting, and what are the plans for the continuation? Therefore, we request your immediate intervention in answering these questions and providing appropriate instructions to the IDF to reach a decision and stop endangering the lives of our soldiers without justification.
