Dyab is the **fourth head of municipality** in central Gaza alone to be assassinated by Israel in a bid to sow chaos and lawlessness among the population and prevent the provision of municipalty services to the population. Around 1 pm, an Israeli strike targeted journalist Mohammad Baalousha, killing him on Sheikh Ahmad Yassin Street in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City. Mohammad was previously injured back in December 12, 2023 by an Israeli sniper. He has since been reporting with external fixators on his left thigh and crutches.
