"These disturbing events, which unfolded in the city center, have sparked widespread concern across the Netherlands and internationally. Eyewitness footage shows the supporters wielding belts and pieces of wooden slats, which were allegedly taken from nearby structures, and launching heavy fireworks. The situation escalated near Amsterdam Centraal station, where some individuals were reportedly chased and forced to the ground. In addition to incidents recorded near the station, other videos show Maccabi supporters displaying anti-Arab and racist slogans and pulling down a Palestinian flag prior to the match. These actions were reported to have continued in the city's Spui district, where stones were allegedly used in further acts of violence."

Amsterdam Police confirmed that they are utilizing video evidence from multiple sources, including public street cameras, doorbell recordings, witness accounts, and media footage. "All available evidence will be thoroughly reviewed," a police spokesperson stated, emphasizing the priority of an independent investigation, which Mayor Halsema announced on Friday.
