Previously, On september 6, a large number of colonists stormed the site of Ma‘in Well (Bir Ma‘in) in Masafer Yatta, prevented Palestinians from approaching it, set up a tent at the site and performed rituals.

In mid-August, colonists stormed and carried out restoration work for the well, located on the eastern slopes of Tal Ma‘in archaeological site and close to Shi'b al Butum, one of the hamlets making up Masafer Yatta.

Colonists’ frequent intrusions to the site are intended to seize it.
