"Smotrich's genocidal remark was uttered during the "Katif Conference" held today, organized collaboratively by a center for "commemoration of the heritage of Gush Katif & North Samaria" and leading Israeli paper Israel Hayom. A few weeks back the conference's host, Karmi Yogev, filmed himself in sort of a "teaser" for the event, filmed while he's on reserve duty in the "Netzarim Corridor" in the Gaza Strip. In the video he says that the IDF forces in Gaza are working to "fix the past" (the supposed mistake being the evacuation of Gush Katif settlements)."
