Archivist Notes: 3-day deadly Israeli raid on two Tulkarem camps

At the middle of the night, on December 24, Israeli troops began a 3-day deadly Tulkarm raid inside Tulkarm & Nur Shams refugee camps : many occupation vehicles stormed the camps, accompanied by a D-9 military bulldozer and two front-end loaders, amid the overhead flight of reconnaissance drones.

The operation, lasting over 40 hours, involved two drone strikes, exchanges of fire, detonations of explosive devices, & extensive destruction of civilian infrastructure by military bulldozers.

They shot & killed a Palestinian bringing total death toll to 10 & 3 injured 3 including a kid & elderly man; demolishing homes turning them into military outposts. Israeli special forces besieged home, setting it in fire. Massive destruction of infrastructure and streets was caused by Israeli forces during their raid on the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm city in the occupied West Bank.

According to the Health Ministry, seven people were killed in the Tulkarm refugee camp and another person died in the nearby Nour Shams camp following a raid by the Israeli army early Tuesday. Fathi SaĂŻd Awda OubaĂŻd, 18, was killed by Israeli forces after sustaining a gunshot wound to the chest and abdomen while soldiers prevented ambulance crews from reaching the critically injured man, and opened fire at ambulances.

Fathi SaĂŻd Awda OubaĂŻd, 18 y/o

16-year-old Muhaimen Ayman Majed Akhras killed by an Israeli drone strike in Tulkarem refugee camp around 2:45 p.m. on December 25. The drone-fired missile killed Muhaimen alongside three young men and injured five Palestinian civilians.The victims were transported to Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarem, where Muhaimen was pronounced dead on arrival. Muhaimen sustained shrapnel wounds and burns across his body.
