This marks the third consecutive month in which he has engaged in these provocations (May 22, June 5, July 18, August 13), which have incited 2,250 settlers to participate in the desecration of the holy site.
This was done to purportedly commemorate Tisha B'av, held to mark 'the destruction of the Temple'. In reality the mass incursions are a mobilisation to assert Zionist sovereignty over Al-Aqsa and project Israeli supremacy, as the settlers held Israeli flags and chanted the national anthem.
