The International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and its Palestinian and French member organizations — Al-Haq, Al-Mezan, Palestinian Centre for Human Rights on the Palestinian side, and the Ligue des droits de l’homme (LDH) on the French side — filed, on Tuesday, December 17, a complaint with a civil party with the chief investigating judge of the crimes against humanity division at the Paris Judicial Court against Yoel O., a French-Israeli soldier who served in Gaza in recent months. The plaintiff organizations accuse this soldier of “war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, torture, and complicity in these crimes committed against Palestinian detainees held in Israel.
