"Israeli forces launch a large-scale attack on the Nur Shams camp in the occupied West Bank, inflicting widespread destruction." - Source
On January 8, 2025, a number of Israeli vehicles stormed Tulkarm city from its western entrance, and headed towards Al-Alimi Street (the courts), Al-Younis roundabout, and Nablus Street leading to Tulkarm camp, amidst heavy low-flying reconnaissance drones.
They raided raided dozens of homes in the al-Qaddoumi residential building amid acts of violence, searches and abuse of citizens, detaining them in one room and subjecting them to field investigation, and turning a number of them into military barracks and sniper locations, while other groups were expelled from their homes at gunpoint, barring others from re-entering their homes.
They blew up the house of the detainee Mahmoud Mutie Sleit in al-Madares neighborhood in Tulkarm camp. He was detained after being injured early last year.
Massive destruction to the infrastructure, the streets and Palestinians' property was caused by the Israeli D9 and bulldozers throughout the night. The destruction includes water, electricity and internet networks, specifically in the center and northern side, which is located in the neighborhoods of "schools, services, Balawneh, Hanoun Square, Abu al-Foul, al-Akasha and the Muqata'a", which led to their interruption in large parts of it.
The Israeli forces withdrew on January 9.
