"Extreme torture and malnourishment: Palestinian captive Ibrahim Mohammad Khaleel Al-Shaweesh, a resident of Beit Hanoun, North Gaza, was freed today after a year in Israeli captivity. He was abducted from a displacement shelter in northern Gaza on December 10, 2023, and initially detained in border barracks where he endured extreme torture. For 45 days, he was blindfolded, shackled, and forced to kneel, before being transferred to Naqab (Negev) prison, where he suffered electric shocks and attacks by dogs. Upon his release, visible signs of torture and extreme malnutrition marked his face testifying to the brutal treatment of Palestinian captives in Israeli prisons. SAFA News Agency" - Source

"Amid shock over the appearance of Ibrahim Muhammad Khalil al-Shawish, from north Gaza, following his release from an Israeli prison, Zionists have been fabricating claims that al-Shawish was never in an Israeli prison and isn't even Palestinian and even that he's Iraqi. This is obvious nonsense to any who knows Arabic and hears him speak Palestinian Arabic. Aside from his own testimony of how and where he was abducted, detained and tortured (see the video in the tweet I quote), a cursory search reveals the Zionist lies. Al-Shawish's name is listed among the 111 prisoners who were abducted by "Israel" since 7 October 2023 and released on 8 February 2025, by the Palestinian Prisoners Media Office. He is number 108 on the list
