Khaled Mahajna, an attorney, has revealed the harsh conditions faced by Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons, especially in the notorious Sde Teiman facility in the Negev desert. He was the first lawyer to visit journalist Muhammad Arab, detained for over 100 days. Mahajna reported appalling conditions, including physical torture, sexual abuse, and severe deprivation.

Arab described being held in solitary confinement, shackled, and blindfolded for extended periods. Detainees faced extreme measures such as sleep deprivation, inadequate food, and restrictions on practicing religious duties. Mahajna emphasized that the conditions in Sde Teiman are part of a systematic approach to mistreat Palestinian prisoners as a form of punishment and retaliation. The testimonies from detainees highlight the urgent need for international intervention to address these human rights abuses.
