"Another community driven out! In the early morning hours of 17 Feb. 2025, Israeli settlers invaded tents in the Palestinian community of Lifjim, in Nablus District and attacked three residents. Meanwhile, other settlers stole about 40 sheep and loaded them onto vehicles. The assailants threatened a repeat attack unless the residents moved out. Israeli police arrived only an hour later, told the residents to file a complaint – and left. Zahi Bani Muna, whose sheep were stolen, went to the police station three days in a row to file a complaint, but was turned away each time on the grounds there was no one available to receive him. On 7 March, dozens of armed settlers stormed the Palestinian community of Ras ‘Ein al-‘Auja in the southern Jordan Valley, attacked residents and stole 1,500 sheep. Police and soldiers at the scene did nothing to stop them, yet arrested a resident. When Zahi Bani Muna and his family heard of the attack, they decided they could no longer risk staying. They moved to a rented home in the town of ‘Aqraba and put their remaining sheep in a pen.
