Civil Defense truck breaks down as Israel continues denying essential aid

"⚠️Urgent Appeal⚠️ The only rescue vehicle operated by Civil Defense in northern Gaza broke down while on its way to carry out a humanitarian mission in the Al-Shuja’iya area. This vehicle is over 30 years old. Civil Defense in Gaza is suffering from a severe shortage of equipment and vehicles, and has not received any support or assistance from the international community, despite the catastrophic conditions we are facing. We urgently appeal to all international organizations and concerned entities to assume their humanitarian responsibilities, to urgently address the needs of Civil Defense, and to provide rescue vehicles and essential equipment, so that we may continue to fulfill our duty in saving lives and serving our afflicted people. تعطّلت سيارة الإنقاذ الوحيدة التابعة للدفاع المدني في شمال غزة أثناء توجّهها لأداء مهمة إنسانية في منطقة الشجاعية، علمًا أن عمر هذه السيارة يتجاوز 30 عامًا. يُعاني الدفاع المدني في قطاع غزة من نقصٍ حاد في المعدات والآليات، ولم يتلقَّ حتى الآن أي دعم أو مساعدات من المجتمع الدولي، رغم الأوضاع الكارثية التي نواجهها. نُناشد كافة المنظمات الدولية والجهات المعنية بتحمّل مسؤولياتها الإنسانية، والنظر العاجل في احتياجات الدفاع المدني، وتوفير سيارات الإنقاذ والمعدات اللازمة، لنتمكن من مواصلة أداء واجبنا في إنقاذ الأرواح وخدمة أهلنا المنكوبين." - Source
