Osama tearfully eulogizes his father Mohammed Hamad, killed in the line of duty as a Civil Defense worker during the Mawasi Massacre.

Osame recounts his father's many virtues: a brave rescuer, dedicated father who valued education and religion, and an honest man who did the right thing always. The interview is interlaced with footage of Osama saying goodbye to his father's body and asking "Who will wake me up to pray now?"

• As of September 8th, 2024, 83 members of Gaza's Civil Defense have been killed, with the most recent being Colonel Mohamed Morsi, Deputy Director of Civil Defense in northern Gaza, who was martyred with a number of his family members after their home in Jabalia camp was bombed.
