"After a year and four months of pain and waiting, today in Rafah I found the remains of my uncle Ramzi, headless. It was a moment beyond description, one that gripped my heart and froze my hands in shock. I recognized him with difficulty by the nail of his finger, and the platinum wires in his chest from a previous open-heart surgery, as well as by his white robe, which once symbolized his purity and innocence. I gathered what was left of him with my hands into a small bag and buried him in my heart, heavy with sorrow. How can I bear to see someone who was once a symbol of safety and love end in such a way? This scene will remain engraved in my memory forever, a testament to the cruelty and injustice of this world.
