On December 19, a 80-year-old elderly Palestinian woman, Halima Abu Lail, was shot and murdered by the Israeli troop during a military raid into Balata camp in Nablus after being shot by Israeli forces in the chest and leg, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed. She was the grandmother of the Palestinian resistance martyr Ahmed Abu Junaid.
A Young man, Qusai Sarouji, was kill directly by live amunition during the raid.
The Red Crescent said its ambulance crews provided first aid for six wounded civilians, included three people injured by live bullets and two elderlies to the hospital : a 70-year-old woman who was shot several times, an elderly man (65 years old) who was shot in the back, and a young man (21 years old) in the abdomen. RC adding that Israeli soldiers prevented ambulances from evacuating some casualties and opened fire around them. Later, the Red Crescent announced the martyrdom of 80-year-old Halima Abu Lail and a young man called Qusay Saruji.
Local sources told that Israeli forces stormed the camp, supported by reinforcements including patrols and armored vehicles. Israeli troops were also deployed in several neighborhoods to arrest wanted Palestinians.
The sources added that clashes erupted within the camp's neighborhoods, during which army forces fired live bullets, tear gas, and sound bombs.
