In the afternoon, on October 12 Israeli troops have raided Bani Naim, near Hebron, and kidnapped the Palestinian woman Afnan Abu Hussein, after storming her home.
Afnan Abu Hussein is 24-year-old and she is nine months pregnant. She is also a mother to a two-year-old child.
Her brother, was previously arrested without charges on October 5 before being freed.
She was accused of making pro-Palestine social media posts. She was taken to Damon Prison.
After she was released at the Kfar Saba crossing she was rushed to Al-Ahli Hospital, where her family were waiting for her.
Released on October 15 (?) Palestinian prisoner Afnan Abu Hussein recounts her capture and treatment under Israeli forces. She recalls how she was taken from her home in Hebron, during the nigth, soldier surrounded her bed. They abducted her before she was able to wear her hijab. She was detained without consideration of her pregant condition nor she was a girl. She was handcuffed, she was let on the ground, beaten . According to Afnan, she is being pressured to undergo surgery to give birth. She was subjected of psychological pressure. She described the terrible conditions she experienced during her detention: "They provoked me in the worst ways; it was psychological torture for me. They filmed me on TikTok while I was tied with shackles to the bed, and they danced around me. I would ask for a cup of water, after two days of no eating or drinking, and they would throw it in front of me; as a result, I became dehydrated and the water dried up for the baby. They didn't give me any medical treatment." During her detention, the Israeli soldiers also forced her to sign a paper which says she is responsible in the case of the death of her baby because she refused to give birth in an occupation hospital
Afnan, who is nine months pregnant and was awaiting a scheduled surgery on 16 October, was told to give birth in Israeli custody.
According to Palestine Captives : "She is writer and comes from a struggling family living under occupation. Her father, mother, and brother Hamza are all freed captives. Her mother, Safaa Akram Abu Hussein was detained for over a year in 2018, and Afnan was banned from visiting her"
