Mass arrest waves in Al-Fawwar Camp

West Bank, Al-Khalil/Hebron, Al-Fawwar RC 31 May, 2024
Almost every month, Israeli occupation forces arrest several people during recurring raids of the Al-Fawar camp south of Hebron in the West Bank. ### Context: Fawwar camp is the southernmost camp in the West Bank, located approximately eight kilometres south of Hebron. The population in Fawwar camp has more than tripled since its establishment. The Israeli settlement of Beit Haggay and an Israeli military camp are located only a few kilometres away from Fawwar camp. An Israeli military watchtower is situated at the entrance of the camp. As a consequence, incursions, camp closures and clashes between young camp residents and the Israeli military are current. Residents in Fawwar camp previously depended almost entirely on access to Israel for employment opportunities. The current inaccessibility of the Israeli labour market has thus severely affected employment levels and the economic situation in the camp, contributing to the camp’s high levels of unemployment and poverty. ### Chronology of the mass arrest campaigns **One My 31, 2024** During the raid a Palestinian youth brought down an Israeli drone. **On october 24, 2024** [Al Jazeera](https://aje.io/51g8en?update=3269542) reported that Israeli forces had stormed the Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron, and launched an arrest campaign. **On November 2, 2024 :** - Israeli forces arrested ten Palestinians, on Saturday, during their raid on Al-Fawwar camp in the Hebron Governorate in the southern West Bank. - Palestinian local sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the camp a midst gunfire and use of sound bombs and tear gas, detaining more than 28 residents after breaking into their homes, took them handcuffed to the entrance of the camp, and after field investigations, more than ten citizens were arrested. - Israeli forces surrounded the camp, closed its entrances, and prevented anyone from entering or exiting the area. - A Palestinian youth was wounded by Israeli live bullets in the foot and was taken to Abu Al-Hassan Al-Qasim Hospital in Yatta for treatment. **On December 23, 2024:** Eearly in the morning, Israeli Forces launch a large-Scale raid on Al-Fawwar Refugee Camp: Between 70 and 80 Palestinian Civilians were detained at a local club stadium that had been converted into a field interrogation centre. **On February 5, 2025:** Israeli forces carry out mass arrests of Palestinians. **On April 19, 2025:** The Israeli forces carried out a massive arrest campaign targeting more than 60 young men in Al-Fawwar refugee camp. They also raided a large number of citizens’ homes, searched them, and vandalized their contents. The detainees were interrogated on the spot. The occupation forces have released a number of them. But they arrested eight of them: Muhammad Fayez Al-Wawi, Ahmad Bassam Al-Bayed, Jalal Bassam Al-Bayed, Mahdi Alaa Al-Bayed, Amjad Younis Al-Najjar, Aboud Joda Awidat, Muhammad Joda Awidat, and Ali Ashraf Khudairat.

Israeli raid on Jenin killing 7 Palestinian May 21, 2024

West Bank, Jenin 21 May, 2024
At least 7 martyred
Israeli forces **raided on Jenin on May 21, 2024 to May 23.** **On May 21**, at 8 a.m. in a single hour, Israeli snipers killed seven bystanders at the Jenin Refugee Camp and injured more than 12 by live ammunition. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said the operation targeted Hamas and PIJ gunmen, but acknowledged that some unarmed individuals were caught in the crossfire. These explanations doesn't convince and international journalists as much as left-wing Israeli journalists like Haaretz are warning about the event. In this operation on an illegaly occupied territory, Israeli snipers fired at Palestinian civilians, school teachers and students, ambulances, medics, and journalists. The scale of the human toll and the profile of the victims as well as the blatant abuses against the civilian population, schools and the health system blatantly raise the question of impunity. **All the civilians killed during the Israeli military raid in Jenin on May 21, 2024, were victims of gunfire during the operation:** 1) Dr. Jabareen, (Surgeon) a 50-year-old surgeon at the Jenin Government Hospital, was shot dead by Israeli forces as he travelled to work at Jenin Government Hospital, where he was a surgeon. The Palestinian Health Ministry accused Israeli forces of deliberately targeting him, emphasizing that he was a civilian and not involved in any militant activity. 2) Mahmoud Hamadna, (a teenage schoolboy 9th Grade), was shot while riding his bicycle through the streets of Jenin. Palestinian media reported that he was killed by Israeli gunfire, and a photograph was shared showing his body lying next to his bicycle in a side street. 3) Allam Jaradat, a schoolteacher, was killed by Israeli fire while on duty at Walid Abu Muwais Basic School in Jenin. Palestinian media reported that he was shot while inside his car. A photograph showed a pool of blood on the back seat of the vehicle, indicating where he was fatally shot. Wafa photo showed a pool of blood on the back seat of his car. **4-7) Other Civilians** The Palestinian Health Ministry reported a total of seven Palestinians killed during the operation on May 21 including 2 children, a schoolteacher and a surgeon. It is assumed that these civilians were also killed by Israeli gunfire during the exchanges between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants. In addition to these killings, there were **also between 12 and 19 injuries reported among civilians, including two severly,** (a female paramedic wounded by shrapnel and a 17-year-old suffered serious gunshot injuries) some of whom were school students. **Stray Bullet Injures Photojournalist:** Palestinian photojournalist **Amr Mansara** was hit by a stray bullet fired by Israeli forces while documenting the raid. He was helped by local people and later reports the injury to AFP news agency, stating he was hit in the back of his leg. Israeli forces open fire at journalists in Jenin in the West Bank and surround a hotel where journalists are present. **Large-scale infrastructure demolition preventing emergency rescue :** An AFP correspondent reported seeing Israeli armoured bulldozers had dug up the surface of the road between the government hospital and Jenin’s refugee camp with the aim of making access to emergency care difficult. Ambulances were shot by IDF to prevent they can access to the injured. According to the Red Crescent, there were school students among the injured in Jenin, and the occupation army obstructed medical crews from reaching them. **Jenin Government Hospital & Khalil Suleiman Hospital besieged** Israeli forces besieged Jenin Government Hospital, bulldozed nearby streets, and deployed snipers who fired at civilians near the hospital. Dr. Mustafa Hamrsha reported a critical medical crisis, with ambulances blocked and staff unable to handle the influx of injuries. Israeli snipers reportedly fired at anyone near Khalil Suleiman Hospital and indiscriminately at people in the courtyard of Jenin Government Hospital. **Schools besieged or evacuated:** “They started shooting at a school, … at the students and at the teachers,” camp resident Abdul Rub told Al Jazeera. According to the Director of Education in Jenin, Salam Al-Taher, all schools in the city of Jenin and its camp were evacuated, with the exception of some students in Al-Karama and Al-Zahraa schools due to the seriousness of the current events. According to Muhammad al-Sabbagh, the head of the Popular Committee for Jenin Camp Services, students from UNRWA schools were besieged all the day. **Home invasion** A 50-year-old woman was detained after soldiers raided her home in al-Marah neighborhood and assaulted family members. **Other exactions** Streets, vegetable stalls, and commercial properties were destroyed. Israeli soldiers occupied Homes and turned into military outposts. Ahmed Barakat’s two-story house was demolished without notice, leaving 10 family members homeless. **Perfidy war crime** Israeli troops were seen entering Jenin in an undercover vehicle, which constitutes a crime of perfidy under international humanitarian law. According to an investigation by the Palestinian human rights group Al-Haq and London-based research group Forensic Architecture, Israel typically sends undercover soldiers into West Bank cities to monitor and assess the area before the army or special forces arrive. The previous week before the raid, several undercover Israeli soldiers pretending to be Palestinians came into Jenin and took up positions among the homes to survey the camp. **IDF statement:** The Israeli military said they launched the operation as part of a "counter-terrorism measure" targeting militants from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, but it is not clear if the civilians killed were deliberately targeted or caught in the broader exchange of fire. **Local response:** Palestinians condemned the raid, with Hamas calling it a "massacre." The Palestinian Authority also criticized the killing of civilians, including medical staff. Israeli forces typically destroy entire neighbourhoods, claiming they are harbouring fighters. Civilians are punished in the process – killed, arrested or made homeless, residents and activists. **List of the names of civilians murdered :** 1. Dr. Oussaid Jabareen, 50, surgeon at Jenin Government Hospital, shot dead on his way to work. 2. Mahmoud Amjad Hamdneh, 15 A teenage boy in ninth grade, killed while riding a bicycle. 3. Allam Jaradat, 48, A schoolteacher, killed while on duty at Walid Abu Muwais Basic School. 4. Osama Mohammed, 16. 5. Muammar Mohammad Abu Omeira, 50. 6. Amir Issam Abu Omeria, 22. 7. Occupation and destruction of the Noura Al-Kaabi Dialysis Hospital

Gaza, Jabalia, Noura Al-Kaabi Dialysis Center 20 May, 2024
At least 400 martyred
The Noura Al-Kaabi Dialysis Center was a kidney treatment center in Jabalia, affiliated to the Indonesian Hospital. Since October 7, 2023, all Gazan healthcare facilities, including specialized centers, have been besieged, attacked, occupied as military bases, and destroyed—both the buildings and medical equipment—by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops. IDF soldiers have been documenting these actions themselves. These military assaults and occupations are undeniably war crimes and crimes against humanity under international law. ### War Crime Classification: Hospitals and medical facilities are protected under the Fourth Geneva Convention and Additional Protocol I (Articles 12 and 18). They must not be targeted in armed conflict. Under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (Article 8), intentionally directing attacks against hospitals, medical units, and staff not being used for military purposes is a war crime. Even if a hospital is near a military target, it cannot be attacked unless the military advantage outweighs the civilian harm, which is rarely the case. Besieging or occupying hospitals, cutting off medical access, or using them for military purposes violates IHL and may constitute collective punishment or inhuman treatment—both prohibited under international law. (A hospital loses its protection only if it is being used to commit harmful acts (e.g., hiding weapons or combatants) and after due warning has been given. Even then, proportionality and distinction must be respected.) ### Chronology of the events **February 2021:** Official opening of the Noura Al-Kaabi Dialysis Center in Jabalia, North Gaza **Around 21 Nov. 2023:** The Israeli military first entered the area around 21 Nov. 2023 as shown by geolocations. Footage later shows that IDF soldiers wrote inciting or dedication phrases on the walls. In one of the attached photos, the phrase in Hebrew reads: "Greetings from Haim Ezran", and in the other photo: "Greetings from the Seviv family and Ezran." **November 29, 2023:** Gaza Health Ministry: the reopening of the center and resumption of the dialysis operations at the 'Noura Al-Kaabi' Kidney Dialysis Center in North Gaza. [link](https://t.me/safaps/174993) **May-June 2024:** The Israeli military is using the Noura Kaabi Dialysis Center in the Jabalia Refugee Camp as a military base and operational center amid the ongoing invasion. This is the second hospital that they hide behind, following TIKA Hospital in Netzarim. **Augustus 2024:** Restoration of the hospital after the withdrawal of the Israeli troops. It was relaunched in August 2024 following a reconstruction project supported by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS). **September 2024-January 2025** Ground invasion, occupation and siege of the North of Gaza. Massive forced displacement, arrest, kill zone and urbicide. **February 5, 2025:** During the ceasefire, Anadolou footage shows the huge destruction (arson, walls and Dialysis machine shot by gunfire,...) Inside the Noura Al Kaabi Dialysis Center. It had been seized by Israeli forces and turned into a military base. Troops stockpiled ammunition inside the facility, leaving it in devastation: more than 80 dialysis machines were rendered unusable. The walls are riddled with bullet holes, and large breaches suggest tank fire. **April 17, 2025:** The mInistry of Health inaugurated the partially rebuilt center. On April 2025, the World Health Organization reported that six out of seven dialysis centers in Gaza had already been destroyed. **June 1, 2025:** Israeli forces demolished the Noura Al-Kaabi Dialysis Center, part of the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza. The center was a vital lifeline for kidney patients in northern Gaza with Dr. Marwan Sultan of the Indonesian Hospital saying more than 180 patients in northern Gaza depended on regular dialysis there three times a week. Ministry of Health statement : "*After it was renovated and reopened just weeks ago to serve dialysis patients—as the only kidney dialysis center in Gaza City and the northern governorate—which had been serving over 160 kidney failure patients in northern Gaza, and despite operating under severe shortages of fuel and medical supplies, the Israeli occupation has destroyed the Nour Al-Kaabi Dialysis Center at the Indonesian Hospital*" Only a handful of partially functioning hospitals are still able to provide limited dialysis services for the over 1,000 kidney failure patients across Gaza requiring ongoing care.Treatments have been drastically reduced, with patients receiving fewer and shorter sessions — sharply increasing the risk of severe complications and death. **Victims** According to Dr. Yousef Abu Rish of Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 400 kidney failure patients have died due to the destruction of dialysis machines and the collapse of treatment capacity for all the Gaza strip.

Town of Shuqba under demolition campaign and settlers assaults

West Bank, Ramallah, Shuqba 01 May, 2024 - 09 Jul, 2025
### **Timeline of Incidents** **On May 2, 2024**: The Israeli bulldozers demolishes two agricultural facilities of Farmers Mohammed Basem Mohammed Shalash and Ziyad Mohammed Marouf in Shuqba village). Reason: Lack of building permit; structures had stop-work orders since Nov 2021. Two weeks before the demolitions, Israeli forces had entered the targeted area, photographing the structures without providing any notice or warning of their intent to demolish them. The demolitions proceeded later without further communication. **On March 5, 2024**: Demolition of an agricultural room and three livestock shacks. Reason: Alleged unlicensed construction **On August 24, 2024**: Israeli military raid with grenades in Shuqba and nearby villages. Reason: Security operation; search-and-arrest suspected. **On December 4, 2024:** Agricultural room (12 m²) and retaining wall demolished. Reason: No permit; existing stop-work order since 2023 **On January 16, 2025**: Demolition of an agricultural structure and landfill closure. Reason: Built without permits according to Israeli authorities **On January 19, 2025**: Evacuation notices issued for 36 dunums (approx. 9 acres) of land. Reason: Declared “state property” by Israeli Civil Administration **On January 29, 2025:** Destruction of agricultural structure (~60 m²) and rainwater cistern. Reason: Lacked building permit; demolition despite prior stop-work notice **On February 11, 2025**: Demolition of an agricultural structure and tractor seizure. Reason: No permit; part of wider demolition campaign in 2024 **On February 20, 2025**: Israeli military raid—youth injured by live fire; shop searches and tear gas. Reason: Security operation; raids for suspected militants or weapons **On May 13, 2025:** Israeli bulldozers demolished one inhabited two-story home (approximately 250 m²) belonging to Yaqoub Hamida Qadah in Shuqba. Reason: Construction was deemed “illegal” by Israeli authorities—lack of an approved permit. Other reports from IMEMC note that this followed the demolition of four additional homes in Shuqba earlier that day; OCHA’s update confirms demolitions reported in Shuqba on May 14 **On April 8 2025** – Demolition (agricultural room near annexation wall) Israeli forces razed a 60 m² agricultural room in Bayt Nuba, adjacent to Shuqba, citing proximity to the annexation wall in Area C. Official reason: Illegal construction within restricted buffer zone. **On May 19, 2025**: Destruction of a two‑story house (Ibrahim Abdel Qader Shalash). Reason: Claimed illegal construction in Area C **On July 9, 2025:** Bulldozers razed four homes and two barns in Shuqba. Reason: Broad campaign cited as displacement effort to advance land control and Judaization ### Reasons behind these demolition raids **Administrative Pretexts**: Most demolitions are attributed to lack of building permits, often coupled with stop-work or eviction orders. Land is frequently deemed “state land” by Israeli authorities, prompting notices and removal. **Buffer-zone/security regulation:** The April demolition targeted structures near the annexation barrier (Area C), deemed illegal due to buffer-zone rules. **Broader Policy Context**: These acts are widely interpreted by rights organizations as part of a systematic approach to reduce Palestinian presence, particularly in Area C, and facilitate settlement expansion or Judaization efforts. **Security operations:** The March raid was part of broader military/population-control tactics which often involve search-and-seizure, presence near schools, and demolition orders tied to alleged security needs. Military raids involve raids, live fire, tear gas, and property searches tied to alleged security threats or anti-resistance efforts. The case of July 9, 2025, especially stands out as coordinated across multiple locations, suggesting a strategic campaign ### **Legal framework:** The actions of the Israeli authorities in demolishing Palestinian homes and agricultural structures are violations of international law and humanitarian principles, including the right to adequate housing, as protected by several international legal provisions: ~ Article 147 of the Fourth Geneva Convention: Defines the destruction and seizure of property on a large scale, not justified by military necessity, as a serious violation of the Convention. ~ Article 53 of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1948 :prohibits the destruction of property, as this article states the following: “Any destruction by the Occupying Power of real or personal property belonging individually or collectively to private persons, or to the State, or to other public authorities, or to social or cooperative organizations, is prohibited, except where such destruction is rendered absolutely necessary by military operations.” ~ Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention: “States that no person can be punished for an offense they have not personally committed”. ~ Paragraph (g) of Article 23 of the Hague Convention (1907): Warns against the destruction or seizure of enemy property unless justified by military necessity. ~ Article 17 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948): States that "No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of their property."

He was hospitalized for treatment. The attack was one of many racist assaults on Jerusalemite bus drivers, with no action taken by occupation authorities. A video showed blood on the bus where Abu Al-Hawa was working. **Sources :** [1](https://www.arab48.com/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A3%D8%AE%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%B1/%D8%A3%D8%AE%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%B1-%D8%B9%D8%A7%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%A9/2024/03/24/%D9%81%D9%8A%D8%AF%D9%8A%D9%88-%7C-%D8%A5%D8%B5%D8%A7%D8%A8%D8%A9-%D8%B3%D8%A7%D8%A6%D9%82-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D8%A7%D9%81%D9%84%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D9%82%D8%AF%D8%B3%D9%8A-%D8%A3%D8%AD%D9%85%D8%AF-%D8%A3%D8%A8%D9%88-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%87%D9%88%D9%89-%D8%B7%D8%B9%D9%86%D8%A7-%D9%85%D9%86-%D9%82%D8%A8%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B3%D8%AA%D9%88%D8%B7%D9%86%D9%8A%D9%86) [2](https://imemc.org/article/israeli-colonizer-stabs-a-palestinian-bus-driver-near-ramallah/)

Avraham ben David Assassination

West Bank, Gush Etzion 21 March, 2024
Avraham ben David was a 63 year old Palestinian Jew who was murdered by the Israeli army this 21th March 2024 in the West Bank, it says a lot about Israeli racism: During the 1929 riots in Hebron, Samah Zaytun's grandfather saved 25 Jews from the massacre. Samah was so moved by his grandfather's story that he decided to convert to Judaism. He attempted to follow the official Israeli conversion process, but was refused, as the authorities refuse any such request from Palestinians. He tried to insist, but without success. Eventually, he managed to be accepted into a conversion program led by a renowned rabbi from Bene Beraq. After a long process, he was declared Jewish and his name was changed to David Ben Abraham. The PA detained him for 58 days (I'm not sure what the charge was, but I assume it was suspicion of collaboration). He was beaten and mistreated during his detention. After his conversion, he hoped to be accepted as an Israeli citizen. After all, he was now officially Jewish. He even continued to study Judaism in Jerusalem. But not only did the State of Israel refuse to grant him citizenship, he could not even obtain an entry permit to Israel or a work permit. He was waiting at a bus stop near the settlement of Elazar in Gush Etzion today. Israeli reserve soldiers suspected him and searched him. After finding a knife in his bag, probably for self-defense, a soldier shot him dead. "In the meantime, an IDF investigation into the matter was opened, and the reserve fighter Shira was questioned under a warning. The IDF stated that "during an operational activity, an IDF force fired at a Palestinian who aroused his suspicions at Elazar Junction in the Etzion Brigade, an injury was detected and later the death of the Palestinian was determined. Immediately upon receiving the report about the serious incident, the military attorney's office ordered the opening of an investigation by the military police." On behalf of Capt. (resp.) Mia Katz and Lt. Yasmin Younes representing the soldier on behalf of the military defense, it was stated that "this is an outstanding soldier, who was recruited to serve in the reserves from the beginning of the war, and only recently received a badge of distinction for his heroism in thwarting the stampede attack that took place about three weeks ago in Gush Etzion." According to them, "even in the alleged incident, the soldier acted with determination and we have no doubt that the investigation will clarify the sequence of events and the case will end with another badge of honor that will be awarded to the soldier." Journalist Rula Hassanein arrest and unlawful detention

West Bank, Bethlehem 19 March, 2024
Rula Hassanein, a 29-year-old Palestinian journalist, has gained international attention due to her recent detention by Israeli forces and the severe impact it has had on her family, especially her young daughter. **Hassanein was arrested on 19 March 2024, during a raid on her home south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.** Her detainment is part of a broader trend of increased arrests of Palestinian women—many of whom are journalists, activists, and mothers—under the charge of "incitement," particularly as tensions have escalated since the Gaza conflict began in early October. During the raid, Hassanein was reportedly handcuffed, blindfolded, and taken from her home despite her pleas to bring Elia with her due to the infant’s reliance on breastfeeding. Elia quickly became dehydrated following her mother’s arrest and required urgent intravenous nutrition. On July, Despite the court order for the release of journalist Rula Hassanein weeks ago, Israeli forces refuse to release her to this date. ### Baby's Health Needs: Rula gave birth to twins, Elia and Youssef, last year. Youssef tragically passed away three hours after birth. Her surviving daughter, Elia, required intensive care in an incubator for her first 40 days and still suffers from health issues related to her premature birth : Elia has a weakened immune system, which causes ulcers on her hands, feet, and mouth, making it challenging for her to feed. Due to these issues, she depends entirely on her mother’s breast milk, which has caused significant distress and health complications since her mother’s detention. Elia became dehydrated after her mother’s arrest and required intravenous feeding. Hassanein’s request to bring Elia to prison was denied by Israeli authorities. Her husband, Shadi Brejiya, describes the traumatic experience for their daughter, who was left screaming in distress after her mother’s removal. ### Rula detention conditions and health risks **Prison Conditions:** Initially taken to an army camp, Hassanein was later transferred to the Hasharon and then Damoun prisons, where conditions are poor. Reports from her family detail her sleeping without mattresses or blankets and surviving on one cold, insufficient meal per day, no access to essential medications for her chronic kidney disorder. Her sister, Hadeel, reported her appearance of exhaustion during her brief court appearance, where family members were prevented from interacting with her. **Chronic Health Issues:** Rula herself has battled a chronic kidney condition called "minimal change disease" since 2017, which requires her to receive regular medical attention and medication. The Israeli authorities denied her request to bring essential medications with her upon arrest. ### Broader Implications of Her Arrest Rula Hassanein’s arrest is part of a concerning surge in detentions of Palestinian women, especially journalists, on incitement charges. Many organizations have pointed out that the criteria for "incitement" are broad and often applied to social media posts that express political opinions. Her case reflects the growing number of Palestinian detainees held on administrative detention, a practice in which detainees are held without charges, subject to indefinite renewal. ### Escalation in Arrests of Palestinian Women: The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) reports a significant increase in the arrests of Palestinian women—journalists, activists, and mothers—on incitement charges. Many women face "administrative detention" where detainees are held without formal charges or trials, often for extended periods. Mosab Haniyeh: sexually tortured to death

Gaza, Khan Younis, Hamad City 01 Mar, 2024 - 05 Dec, 2025
At least 1 martyred
**On February 25**, in a joint statement, the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS) confirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities had informed them of the death of Mus’ab Hani Haniyeh, 35, on 5 January, in Israeli custody. Haniyeh, a father to a nine-year-old child, was arrested in Hamad City on 3 March last year. According to the statement, he had no known serious health conditions prior to his detention. The Israeli army in a response confirmed Haniyeh’s death in January but made no mention of the cause. “The occupation indicates that an investigation is underway in an attempt to evade any international accountability,” the joint statement added. Prisoner advocacy institutions denounce that : - Prisoners endure systematic acts of torture, food deprivation, deliberate medical neglect, sexual abuse, and medical experimentation that lead to serious and fatal illnesses. The Commission for Prisoner Affairs and the Prisoners’ Club hold Israel fully responsible for the assassination of Musab Haniyah and call on the international community to take immediate action against Israel's war crimes. - A deliberate Israeli strategy of concealing and manipulating information regarding the fate of detainees. The occupation systematically refuses to return the bodies of murdered prisoners, making any independent verification of the circumstances of their deaths impossible. - Prisoner rights organizations warn that extrajudicial executions and targeted killings of detainees are an integral part of Israel’s war against the Palestinian people. With the death of Haniyah, the number of prisoners killed in Israeli jails since the beginning of the genocidal war has risen to 59, including at least 38 from Gaza. This is the deadliest toll ever recorded in the history of the Palestinian prisoners' movement since 1967, bringing the total number of detainees killed by Israel since that date to 296.
