Forced demolitions in Al-Ara’ara Bedouin Community East Jerusalem

On November 11, 2024, in Al-Ara’ara Bedouin community, near Jaba, east of occupied Jerusalem, Israeli bulldozers, under occupation forces, demolished several structures in the Bedouin Al-Ara’ara community, including an abandoned House (unoccupied since the 1960s), a guesthouse, a house used by women and children, five Sheep Pens, a car repair shop, a mosque.

Israeli forces marked additional structures with red paint, indicating potential for further demolitions.

Community Impact: The Al-Ara’ara community includes over 80 families from the Jahalin Bedouin tribe.

Broader Context: These demolitions are occurring alongside significant expansion of the Israeli Adam settlement, which is encroaching on lands belonging to the town of Jaba.
