Journalist Abdallah Al-Attar who filmed the appeal shared more details about Othman: The young man Ghassan Othman Al-Tawil (30 years old) is lying in Nasser Medical Complex in southern Gaza, after being shot by Israeli forces while trying to obtain food aid for his family. The injury caused a severe brain hemorrhage and a critical deterioration in his health condition. Al-Tawil, a father of a child born with a congenital deformity, is also suffering from acute malnutrition amid the lack of medicine and treatment. Although he was previously healthy and had no medical issues before the injury, he now finds himself facing a harsh humanitarian tragedy with his family, who are deprived of the most basic necessities of life.
