Minutes before midnight, Israeli helicopters struck the Ahmad al-Kurd school in Deir al-Balah central Gaza. Like all other schools in the Gaza Strip, this school was serving as a shelter for Palestinians forcibly displaced in the genocide. This attack killed the child Mustafa Al-Amir Muhammad Al-Fayeq, 13 years old, and wounded a number of other people.

The airstrike came in the wake of reports of Israeli helicopters flying at low altitude around central Gaza minutes after 11pm

At midnight, journalist Abubaker Abed posted: "People and rescue men went there to search for bodies by simple torches. They couldn't rescue all. They have to wait for the morning. Electricity in Gaza has been cut off since 7 Oct. 'We simply can't see and don't know anything', someone screaming out."
