Moments before 5 pm, an Israeli drone shot journalist Mamdouh Qunita in the head in the courtyard of Al-Ahli Arab (Baptist) Hospital in Gaza City. He was pronounced dead a few minutes later.

Mamdouh worked as an editor for Al Aqsa TV (aka Seraj TV).

Journalist Islam Bader who was on the ground, reported hearing the gunshot while he was readying for a live broadcast, when everyone around was running and he heard someone shout "Mamdouh was martyred!"
