"Vulnerable patients from Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City were forcibly displaced with no destination, no coordination, and no transport despite their injuries. This follows an Israeli threat of intense bombardment in the area and an evacuation order targeting the southern section of Al-Rimal, including Al-Shifa and five UN-run schools sheltering displaced families. The evacuation was issued abruptly, leaving patients, medical staff, and thousands of civilians to flee on foot from one devastated area to another without guarantees of safety or shelter. Displacement from western Gaza sheltersAround 6:30 pm, the IDF issued a forced displacement order covering the destroyed but partialy restored Al-Shifa Hospital along with five schools used as shelters by displaced families. The IDF threatened bombing the facilities under the usual claim of them being used by "terrorists" while not providing the displaced people with any option noting that Israel abandoned all pretenses of a "humanitarian zone" since breaking the ceasefire on March 18, 2025.
