Murder of child Amna Al-MuftiOn August 17, 2025, Al Jazeera published exclusive footage it obtained documenting a child being struck by what seems to be a drone airstrike while carrying a jerrycan of water.
Following the publication of the footage, the child was identified by locals as 10 year-old Amna Ashraf Al-Mufti,born on July 14, 2013.
Palestinian researcher, writer and poet Mosab Abu Toha found through Gaza news groups on social social media that Amna was killed on December 21, 2024 near the Kamal Adwan Hospital, 6 days before Israel attacked the hospital and abducted Dr. Hussam Anu Safiya.
Amna's father recounted that after losing Amna, Israel killed his wife Najlaa days later, then his second child Baraa.
