On September 5, 2025, a Palestinian citizen was martyred after the Israeli soldiers opened fire on him at the Al-Murabba checkpoint east of Tell village, one of the main entrances leading to Nablus city, in the West Bank.
Israeli soldiers stopped the man who was inside his car at the checkpoint and ordered him to exit his vehicle. A verbal altercation ensued, and Israeli forces opened live fire, killing him on site. According to the Israeli military, the Palestinian man threw a suspicious object and ignored soldiers' instructions.The scene was filmed by drivers in the queue.
An Israeli ambulance transported the body to Huwwara checkpoint, but the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that their ambulance was prevented from reaching the checkpoint for about an hour before they could retrieve the body through coordination with the Palestinian Coordination Liaison (DCL).

Israeli Channel 14 said that a Palestinian endangered soldiers when he was driving a speeding vehicle and threw a suspicious object at them, which prompted them to shoot him, according to the channel.
In a statement, the occupation army claimed that Shahada hurled a “suspicious object” at its soldiers, prompting them to heavily open fire at him, killing him. The statement added that Shahada* “did not comply with the orders of the forces, who began implementing procedures to arrest a suspect, which included opening fire to remove the threat, resulting in his death.”*

Amid Ahmed, the director of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) emergency and ambulance center in Nablus, reported that its ambulance crews responded to the scene, while Israeli soldiers prevented them from reaching the injured man.
Quds Press reported that Israeli soldiers shot Shahada with live ammunition and proceeded to confiscate his body, denying him medical treatment.
According to whitnessess, the alleged ‘dangerous object’ was in fact an air freshener spray that the man had in his hand. The body of Ahmed Shehadeh was returned to his family, and the funeral took place in the evening.
No prosecution or investigation has been announced by Isreali army or authorities, and the defamation of the victim has not been corrected.
