On April 30, Israeli forces raided Nablus and Beita.

On May 1, in the evening, the young Palestinian Alaa Shawkat Ahmed Khader (29 years old) from Nablus Governorate, was killed by a Israeli commando as a result of being directly targeted with live bullets.

• The young man Alaa Shawkat Khudair was killed after succumbing to wounds inflicted by Israeli gunfire following confrontations with Israeli forces in Beita.

• The Red Crescent emergency services in Nablus had earlier reported treating him for critical injuries sustained in the chest area before transferring him to the hospital.

• The Ministry of Health, for its part, confirmed that 29-year-old Alaa Shawkat Ahmed Khudair was killed by Israeli gunfire, after being critically wounded during the IOF raid on Beita.

They issued a statement mourning Alaa Shawkat Khudair, 29, who was killed in Beita during confrontations with Israeli forces, which had besieged the town for days. The Front praised him as a hero and reaffirmed that popular resistance is the only path to freedom. It called for escalating action against the army and settlers, unifying resistance factions, and rebuilding Palestinian institutions democratically to achieve liberation, return, and independence.

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) is a Marxist-Leninist Palestinian faction founded in 1969, advocating for national liberation and socialism. It is a member of the PLO and supports a two-state solution, though it maintains an armed wing in West Bank to resist against Israeli raids. The group is mostly a political activism than an armed resistance.
