This gear and helmet do not protect any journalist, they are just empty slogans. We are victims, live on air. We are victims awaiting our turn to be killed. Mohammad was here half an hour ago (reporting). Now he lies dead with 10 of his closest family members in this same hospital.” #Israel has targeted and killed at least 34 journalists since October 7 targeting them and their families. Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, condemned the killing. Called for a thorough and transparent investigation. Stressed the need for all parties to respect UN Security Council Resolution 2222 (2015), which protects journalists and media professionals in conflict situations.
