Archivist Notes: Strike on tent in Al-Aqsa hospital

Around 1:45 pm, an Israeli helicopter fired a Hellfire missile at a displacement tent, right next to a journalists' tent in the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

Two people were killed and 26 injured. Two journalists (Samer Al-Zaanin and Abd Farhat) sustained light injuries.

One of the journalists present there, Mostafa Garrour, stated: "I survived, thank God, for the seventh time, as a result of targeting the tents of journalists and displaced people in Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. The last was today when we lost our tent. Thank you to everyone who contacted me and reassured me. We would have been the news, but God was kind to us, and my colleagues and I are fine."

The tent was struck with a Hellfire missile as fragments of its rocket motor and control section were found on the scene.

Names of the martyrs:

  1. Yazid Awni Shaheen
  2. Muhammad Samir Abu Shaira
  3. Islam Hussein Al-Jamal (Abu Muhammad)
