Sameer Project : We brought something all children need: shoes

"In Al-Shujaiyah, where children grow up too fast under the weight of the Israeli genocide and utter devastation, we brought something they all need: shoes. Earlier this week, we met with families who have lost everything, gathering the names and sizes of children orphaned by the unrelenting Israeli bombardment. Today, 140 pairs of shoes were delivered to these children to remind them that they are seen, cared for, and not forgotten. This effort was made possible through the Small Steps Project and the Translating Falasteen x @sameerproject campaign in North Gaza. The smiles on these children’s faces weren’t just about new shoes, it was about being reminded they’re still kids in a world that forces them to be anything but that.
