"The moment a baby girl and her five-year-old brother Karim from the al-Nadim family were pulled from the rubble by paramedics and civil defense workers using only their hands and basic tools, after an Israeli airstrike flattened their home in the al-Sina’a area of southwest Gaza City two days ago. The bombing killed five members of the al-Nadim family and wounded several others. With equipment and infrastructure already destroyed by the occupation army, civil defense teams have no choice but to rely on improvised methods and the sheer strength of spirit to dig through concrete and dust in search of survivors.
