Translation: "*The journalist Hassan Eslayeh was injured and the young man Yousef Al-Khazundar was martyred in a nearby tent. In addition, journalist Ahmad Al-Agha who works [sound cut] was injured, as well as journalists Mohammed Fayeq, Abdallah Alattar, Ihab Al-Bardini, and Mahmoud Awad a cameraman for Al Jazeera. All of them were injured by shrapnel from this rocket which destroyed the tents, including the tent of Al Jazeera which was only ten meters away from the targeted tent.
Shrapnel penetrated all tents as journalists were asleep inside after returning from covering an Israeli massacre two hours before now in Khan Younis where nine people were martyred. Some of the journalists were reporting live from the scene of the massacre, other on the way there and others were reportig from the reception of Nasser hospital, while the rest were asleep in these tents which are set right next to each other. This lead to the martyrdom of two people and the injury of six others who are being treated at the reception of Nasser hospital. The injuries range from light to moderate, save for one journalist who is in critical condition.
As you know, Sufyan, these tents barely provide any protection from the elements so how can they fare when struck by such destructive rockets loaded with shrapnel that spreads across the area. You can see in the footage the extent of destruction and damage to already worn-out press equipment used throughout 18 months. There is a state of indignation, disappointment and sorrow following what happened here."
