At about 9:45pm on September 30th, 2024, an Israeli airstrike was launched on the Shujaiya neighborhood, striking the Sohyoun Building near the gold "Currency Market" in the old city, east of Gaza City, killing five people, including a pregnant woman, and wounding dozens.
