On December 23, early in the morning, Israeli Forces launch a large-Scale raid on Al-Fawwar Refugee Camp: Between 70 and 80 Palestinian Civilians were detained at a local club stadium that had been converted into a field interrogation centre.

The Israeli forces had already began a raid in the town on December 22.

According to the Palestinian Prisoners' Club over 100 Palestinians were rounded up and interrogated by Israeli forces. The Palestinian Prisoners' Club stated that two individuals from the group were placed in detention, while the others were released.

This marks the largest operation conducted by the Israeli army in the camp, near the city of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, since October 7.

As of early August, Israeli prisons held 9,900 prisoners, including 3,432 under administrative detention, 250 children, and 86 women, according to Palestinian prisoner rights organizations. Administrative detention refers to an Israeli military imprisonment without charges, lasting six months and renewable indefinitely.
