Transation of the caption: "Should we stay or flee!? A difficult question that I was unable to answer.. Should I advise them to stay and expose themselves to greater danger.. Or should I tell them to leave and break their steadfastness and discourage them!! I prefered to pray for their safety.
This video is from the south of the Zaytoun neighborhood...the most dangerous neighborhood in Gaza City. During a report for Al Araby TV, I tried to explore the lives of people on the front line and near the death street, Street 8."
"The girls are at the Habib junction. To the left is Salah Din road, Dawla station. Straight up is Nadeem Street leading to the Musallaba area, and to the right is Al-Farouq Street. This area is in the south of Zaytoun neighboring and is very dangerous as the IDF continues striking the area and the flow of killings never stops. I came here and honestly I thought I would not find a soul, but I was suprised to see that there are people living here despite the danger. Not only here at the Habib junction but also up there at the Musallaba area, few metres away from Street 8 which is the street of death. This junction too is a death zone as people get bombed and killed by quadcopters and drones etc. The scale of destruction of evident from the mass of rubble. Zaytoun neighborhood is the neighborhood that faced the most destruction in this war. Zaytoun is Gaza's largest neighborhood in terms of surface area, residential and agricultural. Of course, there's no agricultural activity here anymore due to the war, and the IDF razing the fields and not allowing people to access their land and many other factors. Anyway, I reached this place bearing a lot of sadness for these neighborhoods that I thought became ghost towns, but the presence and steadfatsness of the people gives us a lot of hope."
