Multiple hospitals in the north and Gaza City have run out of fuel.
Interviews Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, Dir. of Kamal Adwan hospital:
- We had communicated that we're nearing a catastrophe endangering the lives of the children in the NICU as we're very close to run out of fuel which is essential to operate generator that powers the machines and the oxygen station.
- We have a total of 9 children at risk, including 6 premies in this department. In addition, the dialysis department is also at risk. We have a total of 25 patients requiring daily dialysis treatment 20 adults and 5 children.
- We were coordinating with the WHO to secure fuel that will sustain our operations for a few days. However the entry was postponed by the IDF.
- The fuel we have now will only sustain operations for another 5 hours.
