""Our calls are falling on deaf ears" says Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, as he describes the oppression and isolation facing the medical teams in northern Gaza. Despite repeated appeals to the international community for medical supplies, ambulances, and a humanitarian corridor, no aid has arrived, leaving injured civilians stranded in the streets and their destroyed homes. Just yesterday, he reports, aid distributed in Beit Hanoun was followed by bombings, targeting the very people who received it. Dr. Abu Safiya also mourned the loss of his colleagues, Dr. Mohammed Shabat and his wife Dr. Dima, who were killed along with their entire family in the very early hours of this morning, as well as the recent death of Dr. Saeed Joudah’s nephew, who had been serving tirelessly in emergency care. Meanwhile, quadcopter drones continuously drop bombs on the hospital grounds daily, adding to the relentless assault on the healthcare system. Day 39 of Israel's third ground invasion of the North Gaza governorate.
