Around 4 p.m., Israeli strikes targeted the Jabalia Boys Preparatory School located in the Abu Rashid pond area. The school was sheltering displaced people in Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.
In the morning of October 21, 2024, the IDF raided schools in the Abu Rashid pond area, which numbered 6 schools, and ordered people to evacuate immediately. A few minutes later, IDF artillery shelled the school while people were complying and packing their belongings for the displacement.

The disturbing footage was documented and obtained from a nurse who was at the school and managed to flee to Gaza City. She told journalists people had to leave the wounded and dead behind as Israeli attacks continued, as can be heard clearly in her footage while she was checking on the casualties.
