Journalist Islam Bader asks "What does it mean to wait your turn to be targeted?!"

"I'm on the way back from the targeting of the Nassar family house, at the Nassar intersection in Jabalia - the Civil Defense crews have now arrive - The house is now completely collapsed resulting in a number of martyrs and injured. This the second time this house has been targeted in one month. We're in pitch darkness here with no source of light except from phones or faint lights from a house here or there. One can't walk without lighting like this (flashlight)*. I came here walking as the place was near, and I'm going back on foot with others. If it weren't for this targeting, no one would be out like this at this time, but necessity prevails.

The IOF persists in its murderous night bombings of Palestinians' homes. Unfortunately, we just witnessed a woman being pulled out in a serious condition. Two girls, one in a state of shock, the other had a grievous injury. I asked the paramedic about her moments ago and he told me she is fighting for her life and has been taken to the ICU in the Indonesian hospital. There are other injured people since the house completely collapsed.*

But, the thought that the same house would be targeted twice is unimaginably horrifying. People, specifically in northern Gaza, sit at home, and, frankly, are now anticipating and waiting for their turn. They are convinced that the IOF is committing genocide by bombing houses, as it bombs 3 or 5 houses on their inhabitants every day, killing them. No one knows when their turn will come, nor whether they will make it out alive. That is, if being "saved" is an appropriate word to be used for those who remain alive, to describe the situation amid the genocide.

This is Gaza after one year. I am walking on an unpaved, destroyed road, and there's extensive destruction around me. You may not be able to see much because of the night, but the destruction is everywhere."

Archivist Notes: Strike on Nassar family - Jabalia

An Israeli air strike on the Nassar family home in the Tal al-Zaatar / Al-Alami neighborhood of Jabalia camp injured four people, including a child. They were rescued by Civil Defense and taken to the Indonesian Hospital. Fortunately no one was killed.

Footage and witnesses indicated that after men went to the upper floor to help with the search efforts, the staircase collapsed. Journalist Islam Bader reported that at least one woman and two little girls were pulled out alive but injured.

This is the second time the IDF bombed this same house in under one month. The huse was bombed on August 31, 2024 at 2am. Four people were killed then.
