The effects of the occupation's bombing of a civil defense point in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, which led to the martyrdom of journalist Ahmed Al-Louh and 5 civil defense personnel.

Archivist Notes: Massacre of Civil Defense crews and journalist - Nuseirat

Around 5 pm, an Israeli drone strike targeted a Civil Defense point in Nuseirat camp's new market in central Gaza.

Six people were killed: 5 members of the Civil Defense, including director of operations in Nuseirat, and a journalist.

A Civil Defense member stated that the victims were struck while praying. The timing of the airstrike coincides with the Maghrib (sunset) prayer time.

Israeli Spin: As usual, the IDF spokesperson justified the massacre as an attack on "terrorists" without any evidence. He said that it had targeted the Civil Defense quarters in a “precise strike,” because it was being used as a “command-and-control center” by Hamas and Islamic Jihad to plan an “imminent terror attack against IDF troops.”

Names of the martyrs (identified):

  1. Ahmad Bakr Al-Louh (cameraman for Al Jazeera)
  2. Nidal Abu Hajir (Director of Civil Defense in Nuseirat Camp)
  3. Khaled Al-Maqadma "Jackson"
  4. Alaa Al-Naeezi (Civil Defense member from Gaza City, displaced to central Gaza)
