"Painful words came out of the heart of the mother of our fellow journalist, the martyr Suleiman Al-Hajj, overflowing with unbearable pain. “My son is a journalist and I’m proud… I went to get food, and when I came back they told me Suleiman was martyred.” This morning, Israeli occupation forces bombed a group of journalists in the courtyard of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City, killing three and critically injuring two others. Group of journalists killed at Al-Ahli hospital

Around 10:30 am, an Israeli drone airstrike targeted a group of journalists in the courtyard of the Al-Ahli (Baptist) Hospital in Gaza City.

Multiple journalists are stationed in the courtyard of hospitals in Gaza where they work from their tents and get news on casualties as they are brought to the hospitals. This is at least the second time Israel deliberately killed journalists in Al-Ahli's courtyard.

Four journalists were killed:

  1. Suleiman Hajjaj, correspondent for Palestine Today TV
  2. Ismail Badah, cameraman for Palestine Today TV
  3. Sameer Al-Rifai, who works for Shams News Agency
  4. Ahmad Qalja, cameraman for Al Araby TV, succumbed to injuries hours later

Two other civilians were killed, including a father who was escorting his son to the surgical unit.

Other journalists were injured:

  1. Imad Daloul, correspondent for Palestine Today TV, critically injured
  2. Islam Bader, correspodnent for Al Araby TV, lighted injured
  3. Imam Bader, Islam's brother and assitant cameraman

The IDF official claimed responsibility for the murder by labeling two of the victims, Suleiman Hajjaj and Sameer Al(Rifai as "terrorists".
