The man is saying that the first child's father was killed early in the war and his grave razed by the IDF. He clung a lot to his father and his beard. He had a new brother two months after his father's death.

The second older child Waseem (Munther Al-Farra) was his parents' only son, and his father was killed early in the war.

The house of the Al-Farra family was completely pulverized by Israeli strikes amid a surprise violent offensive on eastern areas of Khan Younis that started in the evening of October 24.

Some of the family members (Raghad and Abudrrahman) were killed in another house belonging to the Sobh family, in Qizan al-Najjar, which was similarly completely wiped out. At least 14 children were among the murdered family, siblings and cousins:

This massacre happened exactly one year after the massacre of journalist Muhammad Al-Farra's family, killing his wife and his children while he was on duty. The IDF had, several times in this year, committed massacres on the same family relatives at the anniversary date.
