Around 3:45 pm, Israeli occupation forces besieged Al-Nuseirat Elementary School B" housing displaced persons near the new camp north of Nuseirat, in central Gaza.
A witness shared a detailed account of how the massacre unfolded:
- At 3 pm, Israeli troops shelled a house in the vicinity, after which people ran away and headed to shelter in the school.
- On the way, Israeli troops targeted a woman, Amal Abu Atiwi, as she was crossing the street towards the school, severing her head and foot.
- About an hour later, Amal's brother and cousin approached her to cover her body when an Israeli drone dropped a grenade on them, then a second one to make sure they are killed.
- Their corpses remained there from 4 pm to 10 pm with snipers preventing people from recovering their bodies.
Journalist Talal Mahmoud Arrouqi was accompanying PRCS crews and documented disturbing scenes of cats scavenging the bodies of Amal's brother and cousin on the road leading to the besieged school.
