Archivist Notes: Pogrom on Duma village by 300 settlers

On April 1, 2025, in the evening, around 300 Israeli settelers stormed the western side of the village of Duma, located south of Nablus.

  • Three Palestinians were injured : local residents managed to push back the attackers, leading to confrontations in which three local Palestinian residents were shot with live and rubber-coated steel bullets.

  • The assault occurred under the protection of Israeli occupation forces

  • They set fire two livestock farms

  • They set fire to three vehicles : Palestinian-owned vehicles were deliberately targeted, leaving residents to face the aftermath.

  • According to Suleiman Dawabsheh, the head of Duma's village council, the Palestinian Civil Defense successfully extinguished the fires.

  • The attack coincided with the Israeli military and police establishing a checkpoint at the village's entrance.

  • According to the mayor of Duma in Nablus : More than 300 settlers attacked the village of Duma, firing live ammunition and burning vehicles and homes. Five Palestinians were injured by the occupation army firing tear gas and live bullets.

  • A 35-year-old man shot with live ammunition in his foot,
  • A 45-year-old man who was injured by shrapnel in his eye and hand
  • A 17-year-old child who was hit in the eye with a rubber-coated bullet.

All three victims were transferred to a hospital for medical treatment.
