Al-Jazeera's correspondent Ashraf Abu Amra is documenting the continuing search efforts in the morning following the night massacre, which happened without any warning.

Relatives of the victims and neighbors are saying that they Civil Defense could not reach the place and they're carrying out the search efforts on their own.

The first witness says four of his relatives are under the rubble. The second one says, his brother, the latter's wife and their children are under the rubble. He called out to his brother during the night who could steal hear him. However, they coudl'nt reach the victims due to lack of any equipment.

Ashraf Abu Amra iss aying that the strike happened without warning using more than one bomb. The targeted area sheltered a large number of displaced persons.

Around 8:30 pm, an Israeli airstrike targeted the Nuseirat post office building and three houses near Al-Qassam cementery in Nuseirat camp, central Gaza.

The airstrike led to a major massacre where 40 people were killed and dozens are still missing, including journalist Abdurahman Al-Qassas

Search and recovery efforts were still ongoing with more killed victims being pulled out from the rubble.
