Around 6:30 pm, an Israeli strike targeted a group of people seeking flour in Khirbat al-Adas, north of Rafah.
People headed to flour stores in the "Istanbul Supermarket" on Awni Dahir Street and were directly bombed with at least 7 missiles. 3 cars and a tuk-tuk were burned and there are reports of a dozen people killed.
A second strike targeted a civilian car carrying the casualties.
At least 6 people were confirmed killed.
Testimonies One of the survivors, Muhammad Al-Nahhal, stated that people in southern Gaza were desperate as they ran out of flour for more than a month, and prices are unaffordbale even for alternatives: One kg of flour is sold for 30 shekels, pasta is sold for 17 shekels, which used to be 2 shekels, and rice is sold for 30 shekels)
He had no choice but to brave the danger of Israeli drones in Rafah to get flour to feed his children. He succeeded in getting a bag of flour from inside his destroyed kitchen. But was struck on his way out by an Israeli drone strike. He sustained shrapnel injuries throughout his body while some of his relatives and neighbors were killed.
Another survivor, Muhammad Al-Masry went back home in Khirbat a-Adas to bring some flour for his hungry brothers in their displacement tent. He said people were struck on their way back to Khan Younis and he saw dozens of people killed on the street, and flour mixed with blood
