An Israeli strike hit a police container in the encampment outside the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the early hours of Monday, October 7, according to Palestinian reports.

Quds Feed says that the strike hit a police container situated behind the tent used by media in the encampment outside the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
Ali Al-Attar, a Palestinian photojournalist suffered a shrapnel injury to the head after this airstrike. Footage posted by Palestinian journalist Abdallah Alattar shows him finding his colleague in a tent with blood dripping from a head wound, and taking him into the hospital.
Footage posted by local outlet Quds Feed shows smoke rising from the encampment outside the hospital, the damaged structure, and the photojournalist, with his t-shirt heavily stained with blood, being assisted by medics.
On October 8, his condition remained very unstable, he continued to bleed and was finally stabilized in a coma in the evening. His fellow journalists are calling for him to be evacuated abroad for treatment.
