The martyr is Ahmad Jamal Al-Durrah, brother of the late Mohammad Al-Durrah, whose murder by Israeli soldiers was an symbol of the second Intifada.

According to his father, Jamal al-Durrah, Ahmad was killed in an Israeli raid on Bureij camp while returning from the palce of his mother-in-law who was killed the day before.
