Archivist Notes: Raid and 3 extrajudicial executions in Qabatiya

On November 19, in Qabatiya, in the Jenin district, Israeli forces raided the town and carried an operation that resulted in the deaths of three Palestinian men.

According to reports, Israeli soldiers raided a house where a wanted individual was located. As the forces approached, the young man attempted to escape by moving from the rooftop of the targeted house to a neighboring building. Meanwhile, two other men who had been hiding in the house barricaded themselves inside and defended themselves when the the Israeli forces fired at them.

The Israeli unit employed a strategy described as a "pressure cooker" operation, which involved the use of rockets, grenades, and live ammunition. The operation concluded with the deaths of the armed individuals.

Footage captured by Israeli soldiers' cameras reportedly shows the moments of the firefight, the destruction of the building by the Israeli forces, and the collapse of the structure during the operation using engineering equipment from the Israeli military.

Wissam Bakr, Jenin government hospital director, told AFP the Israeli army was still holding the bodies of three Palestinians killed in a incident in the nearby town of Qabatiyah Tuesday.
