The military incursion involved demolishing homes and detaining residents. Tulkarem, located in the northern occupied West Bank, hosts the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, collectively housing over 40,000 Palestinian refugees. Surrounded by five illegal Israeli settlements and an Israeli military checkpoint at the city's entrance, residents have long faced limited healthcare services and movement restrictions. Recent military operations have led to significant displacement, with reports indicating that approximately 75% of Tulkarem's population has been forcibly displaced by the Israeli occupation.
